Each cartridge features a floss pad for capturing particulate matter from your aquarium as well as laboratory grade carbon, which helps to filter any impurities, odors and discoloration from your fish tank. Penn-Plax Cascade cartridges are packed with the most carbon of any comparable filter cartridge on the market.
