Each time air passes through the filter, lint, household dust, pollen, dust mites, pet dander, smoke particles, virus carriers, bacteria, mold spores, and other contaminants are removed. The heavy-duty, moisture-resistant beverage board frame is reinforced with a bonded metal mesh grid for extra support. MERV 12 filters are comparable to HVAC filters with an MPR rating of 1500-1900. Regularly changing your air filter helps your heating and cooling system run efficiently and can save on utilities and maintenance costs. For best performance, change the filter every 3–6 months.
