Lakota Made Dream Catcher

     This was made by the Lakota St. Joseph’s Indian School. I do not know what year it was made but it is still new in its original packaging. It is brown and white colors. It measures about 5 inches in diameter. Fashioned with rawhide colored ribbon to bring peaceful dreams.

     Among many tribes the iconic hoop-and-web form is meant to protect sleepers from bad dreams by “catching” them while letting good dreams pass through.
