The Kidde Firex Hardwired Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector with Battery Backup and Voice Alerts, model 900-CUAR-V, is a combination smoke alarm and CO detector that connects to your home’s 120-Volt AC power. It includes 2 AA backup batteries to ensure continuous protection during a power outage. When smoke, fire, or carbon monoxide is detected, the unit sounds an 85 dB alarm and issues a voice alert stating “Fire” or “Warning: Carbon Monoxide.” A voice alert also notifies you when batteries need to be replaced.

This alarm uses a photoelectric sensor to detect visible fire particles from slow, smoldering fires, as well as an electrochemical sensor to detect carbon monoxide. The Hush feature temporarily silences nuisance alarms, while the interconnected design allows multiple compatible Kidde alarms to sound together for whole-home protection. Designed for easy installation, it provides reliable detection with advanced safety features for your household.
