Cortex plugs are crafted from the same material as leading deck boards, ensuring a seamless, uniform appearance. Once installed, they expand and contract along with the surrounding boards, maintaining a perfect finish for the lifetime of your deck.

Featuring a TORX® ttap® drive system and a high-strength setting tool, Cortex screws are easy to install and optimized for professional use. To install, drive the fastener with the included setting tool to achieve the perfect countersink depth, then place and tap the matching plug for a flawless finish. Designed to fasten 50 lineal feet of Trex Transcend Spiced Rum decking, this system includes 75 2-½ in. carbon steel screws, 80 plugs, and 1 Cortex setting tool.
