Important Note:
Plumbers traditionally identify pipe and tube sizes by inside diameter (ID). For example, rigid 1/2 in. x 10 ft. copper tube has a 1/2 in. ID and a 5/8 in. outside diameter (OD). However, soft copper tubing is classified as an HVAC product rather than a plumbing product and is identified by outside diameter (OD). As a result, the same tubing size may be referred to differently depending on the trade. To avoid ordering errors, always verify both the OD and ID before purchasing soft copper tubing. According to the specification sheet, this product has a 3/8 in. OD and a nominal size (ID) of 1/4 in.
