About This Product

A washing machine supply valve with a 1/2 in. PEX-A barb inlet and a 3/4 in. male hose thread outlet, so a braided washer hose screws straight on. The handle is a quarter turn: a quarter of a circle shuts the water off, which is what you want when a hose has let go and the floor is filling. It goes into an existing washing machine outlet box or into new work. The body is lead-free DZR brass, chosen because ordinary brass dezincifies and eventually leaks on a valve that sits untouched for years, and the valve body is removable so it can be serviced without cutting the pipe out. One thing to plan for before ordering: a PEX-A barb connection is secured with an expansion ring, so you need the rings and a cold-expansion tool, and neither is included here. 4.5 in. long, NSF listed.
