About This Product
An Apollo ExpansionPEX female adapter in lead-free brass that joins 1 in. PEX-A tubing to a male-threaded pipe or fitting: a 1 in. expansion barb on one end and a 1 in. FNPT female thread on the other. It is simple to install and is part of the ExpansionPEX system of brass and poly alloy fittings, manifolds, valves, fasteners, tools and tubing for drinking water lines, simple or complex, and it can also be used in hydronic heating systems. The barb has to be secured with an Apollo ExpansionPEX sleeve or a comparable expansion-type sleeve or ring, and a cold-expansion tool is needed to install it; the sleeves, rings and tool are all sold separately. It is rated to 200 psi and 200 F.
