Rated between MERV 8 and 13, the filter’s performance is further defined by its Filter Performance Rating (FPR), which considers MERV rating, E1 efficiency, pressure drop, and dust-holding capacity. The MERV rating measures how effectively a filter traps particles—higher ratings capture more particles. E1 efficiency indicates how well it captures the smallest particles, while the pressure drop shows how much energy your HVAC system uses to push air through the filter. The dust-holding capacity reflects how much dust the filter can hold throughout its life.
